Saizen for my IVF cycle

Apparently I need to use growth hormone as part of my ivf cycle with CCRM. I did not see many women online that are using Saizen for IVF. So maybe it will help that I blog about it plus I want to document the outcome of many phone calls and decisions.

The Doctor prescriped a 8.8 vial which I should only get from Grubb's Or Brauns Pharmacy

I decided to go with Grubbs due to lower price (725 instead of 888) and 2-3 day shipping.

I also asked for the smallest needle (30g)
The nurse mentionned my dosage which will be 0.3 for 5 days.

Update:
I thought that I actually did all the right steps by 1 pm to ensure shipping by tomorrow. I even called and left my cc details with the pharmacy prior to them reveiving the prescription. I guess I was wrong. The Pharmacy called to let me know the price and quantity. Suddenly CCRM called in 2 vials of 5 instead of 1 vial of 8.8. Which will make it more expensive. Really??? Now a nurse needs to send a new prescription and it is already cutoff time in Denver although the nurse promised to fax it by tonight.

Please keep always an eye on all of the details to double check.

Booked my flight for retrieval day

I booked my flights to Denver. I was watching the price and I did not want to wait until it would increase again. There is always the chance that the cycle will be cancelled, but I cant think like that and I have to look for a positive journey.

The travel dates are 2/26  - 3/8. Currently my tentative retrieval date is 3/5.

I used Expedia and booked nonstop Alaska Airlines From Seattle to Denver for 179 and added a Hotel package. I found a great deal in the Tech Center area. The Hotel room has two Queens an extra Couch and a fridge and microwave. I added an insurance that would let me change the dates once.

The hotel name is Comfort Suites Tech Center and it has good reviews.

Why do I even go to get my blood drawn on a Sunday

I went to the lab last Sunday. There is only one lab open on Sundays and it is at my least favorite location in town. More about that in a different post. But it does not make me feel comfortable and I am always hoping that the checkups don't fall on a Sunday.

Anyway, every time I go to a lab I end up being frustrated about the whole process. This time it was about the fact that I had to make decision between 2 labs (1 bought the other) and depending on which one i choose I would get faster results. The problem was that she could not tell me the price difference. How am I supposed to make a decision, so I said whatever is the fastest.(I am paying out of pocket and might get some money back)

So I called CCRM that same night asking for the result. Apparently they did not get sent in yet. I called again on Monday, same thing. I also found out that the tests are not critical for decision making to adjust my dosage.Today is Day 18 or Day 15 on Testosterone. I will continue to take Testosterone, Estrogen and Progestorone until Day 25

So...Why do I go to a lab on a snowy day on Sunday at 8 am to be told that the results don't really matter.
I have no idea how this process is going to work once I am in the middle of the critical IVF cycle and I am taking shots.
